At Let’s Communicate - Pediatric Therapy Services, we work closely with children to develop their social, cognitive, and developmental skills. Our speech and occupational therapy techniques are designed to foster growth in the areas of independent functioning, articulation, handwriting, and speech fluency. In collaboration with pediatricians, caregivers, and intervention specialists, we work together to create an optimal environment for your child to flourish.
Our Services
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy develops children’s physical, sensory, developmental, and cognitive functions. Through its practice, occupational therapy can help address any social, psychological, and environmental factors that can impair a child's day-to-day functioning. It's a holistic approach to the overall healthcare for children with special needs. Occupational therapy is used to treat a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to:
- Autism
- ADD & ADHD
- Genetic Disorders
- Neurological Diagnoses
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Sensory-Motor Disorders
- Upper Extremity Injuries
- Developmental Disabilities
Through occupational therapy, a child might find relief if they struggle with excellent motor delays, visual motor and perceptual delays, social skills development, handwriting, gross motor skills, poor coping skills and lowered independence for their age.
Speech Therapy
Speech Therapy can help children with special needs to develop the skills needed to function and communicate with their family and peers. These skills may include building expressive and receptive language skills, promoting speech fluency, and improving vocal articulation. Our speech-language pathologists have experience using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, as well as with patients with communication disorders:
- Articulation Disorder
- Childhood Apraxia of Speech
- Auditory Processing Disorders
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Cerebral Palsy
- Developmental Delays
- Down Syndrome
- Pervasive Developmental Delays
- Receptive & Expressive Language Disorders
- Swallowing & Feeding Difficulties
- Stuttering
